I originally started this blog when my husband and I packed up our belongings in the South and moved West– to California! The journey was a roller coaster ride of events for us. We missed our family & friends but loved the new adventure. This blog helped me share what I was learning about my partner, my self, and my new world.
I’m an ordained Baptist minister by vocation. In California, I served as a chaplain resident with the Veterans Affairs Hospital System and as an interim pastor of a UCC/ABC church in San Jose, CA. My husband’s work has brought us back to the South and closer to our families. Once again, I’m back to figuring out a new town, meeting new friends, and wandering through this journey of life. My life has changed dramatically since we welcomed our son into our lives last year. I’m learning how to add mother to my identity now as well.
My husband and I parent a 6 year old Shih Tzu named Jovi and a baby named Parker. Running, hiking, walking through the woods, drawing, painting, good cup of coffee & conversations with a friend… just a few of my favorite things!
